I have used Microsoft Office on Windows 7 and it works fine. Most windows XP software does work on Vista and Windows 7. BUT if you do have a problem with it there is a Windows XP compatibility program called Windows XP Mode which makes programs from XP work on Windows 7 (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx)
